Study tour - strategy of Australia & EU Integration III

OECD - Paris

A group of University of Adelaide students recently completed a two-week study tour as part of their course on Australia-EU relations, being led by Prof Richard Pomfret.

Week 1 - Paris
Classes were led by academic staff from our partner institution, Queen Mary University (University of London Institute in Paris branch) 
Sessions involved briefings by Embassy and Austrade officials in Paris, including afternoon tea in the Ambassador's residence. A visit to the OECD was also a highlight during the week. Along with lectures at ULIP (University of London Institute in Paris). 

Week 2 - Brussels
Classes were led by academic staff from our partner institution, KU Leuven (Brussels campus).
Topics covered; EU Trade Policy.
Students visited the Australian Embassy in Brussels, meeting with Rowan Ainsworth, Political Counsellor 
Students also visited European Commission, engaging in a meeting with the Chief Trade Economist Lucian Cernat.
A visit to both House of European history and the Parliamentarian were also part of the weeks itinerary.
