Trade and Investment in Services: An urgent Agenda

17 February 2020 - IIT staff and Ph.D. Students attended the seminar "Trade and Investment in Services: An urgent Agenda” presented by Hein Roelfsema, IIT's visiting Associate Professor for International Economics.

The seminar aimed to raise interest in IIT's new research agenda in the field of International Trade and Investment in Services by addressing the following aspects: The main research questions concerning the effects of digitisation on supply chains, the measurement of trade restrictions and the effects of globalisation in services on prosperity and income distribution; an overview of much recent work in the field of data collection; and the increased policy relevance of trade in services.
