The Role of SME's in Services Trade & the Potential for SME development

The Knowledge-Based Services (SBC) are those activities that use high technology intensively and/or that require qualified work for their development. In recent decades, driven both by the strong diffusion of new technologies and by a marked process of servicing merchandise, these types of activities have gained great relevance in world trade.

The event is the second edition of Conexión INTAL. It consists of an evening of dissertations and shared experiences with the objective of inviting young generations (18 to 35 years old) to interest in topics such as regional integration and trade in LAC. This year, the main focus will be on Knowledge-Based Services and its potential to boost exports in LAC.

The focus for this event will be related to the drivers of competitiveness in the services sector and the opportunities this sector provides for gender equality, specially in the context of the pandemic, among other topics that may be of your interest.
